Comment: Hi friends, My Laptopis HP DV2000 1 GB Core 2 DUO, Win VISTA Preloaded, I tried to install XP on Vista following instructions from website (using nlite SATA driver etc etc.) However XP is not installing and the situation is whenever I start it says choose from 1. Window Normal2 safe mode etc and it doesnt start in any mode (keeps restarting) i tried to reinstall XP many time but at the last stage it reaches same scenario. i am tired of it and want VISTA back Please HELP I DONT HAVE VISTA DVD nv

Reply: (edit)doing what you did, destroyed the master boot record. you'll need a disk to recover, or get to the windows recovery partition on d:/ drive. should be a recovery on the first boot screen, and 'f' key to execute it.
