I have a 250gb hdd that I've partitioned in half to accept both operating systems. I've done formatted and clean installed the XP and formatted the second partition to accept Vista. Install was clean on both. But as soon as I boot to Vista, I will lose my sound in XP. Device Manager says all is well (it's not) Latest driver is in. I can't get any sound at all from XP. I had a similar problem with RC2. I use an integrated sound card on an Intel D101GGC board. (Realtek). I am now bald from pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. Any Ideas?

I'm assuming it's some sort of driver or firmware issue where by Vista takes over the sound card and something happens. No idea what though.

Do you get sound back in XP after powering down the system and then booting back into it?
