I posted this in the hardware forum but there seems to be some confusion about multiple choice questions so im going to try it here. Please skip this thread Jam. Im looking to get a new desktop computer this week. I havent purchased a desktop since windows me. I have looked around online and i have decided to get a dell xps, or an alienware or a hp blackbird. I checked specs at each site and then did a comparison with the off the shelf models at best buy but i cant make heads or tails of it. If your budget was $2500.00 (USD) which one would you get? Please give me a model or suggested upgrades. Incase this matters im not a gamer but i am working with fireworks, photoshop & flash and other GUI creation software thats killing my laptop. I need something with muscle :). I decided to just spend the money now so i have something that will last me a couple of years. Hey if you want something with muscle. I would suggest going to the website listed below. It is the new I7 intel core and also has two video cards for your needs for adobe or whatever else you need. I would suggest this since the I7 could probably handle it more then a regular quad core, and also it would be future proof. Good luck with your decision. Jim R
