Specs: Windows Vista
.... will be repaired?

Hi. My toshiba laptop's been f'ed up. Whenever I try to open it with its charger on, it freezes consistently without even reaching the user account page. There are times that Im able to log in my user account but when I just logged in, a blue screen appeared and it flashed too fast then my laptop restart all over again.. Me and my mom's thinking about having it fix by tommorow. Will I still be able to get my files if I'll let someone repair my laptop? :( I really need those files. Please help me and answer me here. Thankyou!

No guarantees - many repair shops will just wipe the drive & reinstall without asking you so it's best to get your data off beforehand. For a start, try tapping F8 as it starts to boot and see if it will start in safe mode with networking - if it does then you can get to your files to backup before attempting any further repairs. When you've done that try F8 again but try 'last known configuration', and if that doesn't work 'disable automatic restart....; - you will at least be able to see what the blue screen is saying.

Boot to the vista DVD and try it's repair features.

One can boot to live cd/dvd/usb's also to get data off if system is still OK enough.
