I have this computer that won't open attachments in our email. It will open and start downloading them, except about halfway downloading them, the download box disappears. (This is in Internet Explorer 7) This also happens to anything downloaded on that computer in general, but you mostly notice it in the attachments. I can, however, open the attachments on any other computer. Why would this be doing this and what can I do to fix it? Should I upgrade it to IE8? Thanks! ~William My Site: http://willtech.co.cc/

IE7 is an internet browser, not email client. What email client are you using? i_Xp/VistaUser

Well, I did a little more googleing. It turns out that AVG was the problem. It wouldn't remove manually, so I had to boot into Ubuntu and remove all file traces, but the computer seems to be working better than ever now. It seems that the AVG was the problem for most of the problems on that computer because as soon as it was gone, the computer ran fine. Now avast!
