Comment: I have just had all our computers at work upgraded to vista on our network. working surprisingly well, mainly. Only thing is my HP printer & scanner. regarding my scanner, the drivers work and everyting is ok except for the software. When I bought it I got Photosmart Premier but now I can only seem to get Photosamrt Essentials (I need the tweaking tools for microfilm scanning) Anyone found A way of getting it to work on Vista or a decent alternative (free obviously!) My problem with the printer is that there are no Vista drivers for it so I was wondering if anyone knows which drivers are the nearest match for my A3 printer? Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks, Garyb

Reply: (edit)Have you tried compatiblity mode for the applications? I even go so far as to try the installer in compatibilty mode and then the app. Did you try the XP drivers? HP site is the only site you should look for drivers if they exist at all. Most people can't re-write xp drivers from one device to work on another device. I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

Reply: (edit)If you have looked all over HP sites and you still couldn't find Vista driver for the particular HP product, read the following notice posted at HP site: We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista. The majority of HP products not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years old. If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista. HP has numerous products on the market that support Windows Vista. i_Xp/VistaUser
