Reply: (edit)You can run Vista Home Basic or Vista Starter edition quite well with the addition of a compatible USB flash drive for superfetching purposes. But you better run the upgrade advisor before installing Vista or visit HP web site if Vista is supported for your PC. Regards SuatCINI

Reply: (edit)XP. Vista was built for moderate systems. Unless you plan on upgrading the processor to a dual core, at least a 4200+ X2, add another gb of ram and a decent graphics card then you are much better off with XP.
