Hi.
I looked at my problem report & solutions in control panel and i got a message saying "windows_wcp_other_failure2" in windows modules installer ?

I tried everything, but i could find a solution to it.
I thought a fresh install of windows vista would fix it so i reinstalled it.
After the installation was finished i looked into control panel again and the problem is still there ?

Does anybody know how to fix it ?

Do i need to be concerned about the problem, or can i still use my computer without being worried ?

I'll be glad for any answers !!!
Thx

Google didn't contribute much conclusive leads on that error message, despite the many hits returned from an inquiry on the message.

I am not sure if it would work, but my suggestion is to install SP1 & see if there is any difference.

Hi.
I already have installed Sp1, but the error did not dissappear ?
However, i have used my computer alot since yesterday, and i have not yet figured out what the error does to my computer?
I do not know if there is some kind of program that is causing it, but it don't seem to be a big problem.
The computer seems to work fine, but it would be nice if i could make the error go away.

The only problem i have is that i don't know if my computer is at risk with this error or if i can use the computer without worrying too much about it ?

Ps: Maybe it is the Sp1 that is causing the error ???

So, which is which?

Were you getting the error before or after SP1?

Also, did the the machine come pre-loaded with Vista?

I got this error after trying to install Sp1.
The first time i tried to install it i got a message saying that the sp1 could not install and that sp1 would be uninstalled and the computer rolled back to the way it was before.
Then i got alot of problems so i did a fresh install of windows vista.
Then i still had problems.
So i formatted the harddisk and reinstalled again using a recovery cd.
Then the computer went back to factory defaults again.
I didn't think of checking about this error then.
So i installed sp1 straight away because the computer seemed to be fine.
After Sp1 installation i began to use my computer.
After awhile i thought i would check for errors in control panel and there i saw this problem.

Ps: There is 1 thing i did notice ??
There was a time and date stamp to the problem and according to the date it seems that this problem occured the day before i did use the system recovery cd.
Even before i formatted my harddisk ??????
How is that possible ???

Could that mean that this problem is no longer there although it stands in the error report ?

I can't understand how this is still there after i formatted my harddisk ??
I didn't notice this until now !!!

Ps 2 : And yes it came preinstalled with vista, but not Sp1

If everything seems fine with SP1 installed, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if you feel like pursuing the related log entry in Event Viewer further, go for it!

I tried the chat help, but they couldn't help me either ?
He said i had to let him install a tool so he could go onto my computer and check for himself.
I tried to open the webpage he said, and then the internet explorer shutted down and the chat and everything was gone.
I didn't bother to try again, because my internet explorer shuts down all the time.
Grrrrr, i really hate Ie7 !!!
