as i studied windows vista features.I dont find any special features of windows vista that make me impress to move from windows vista. It may possible i miss something. Is someone guide me any new thing about windows vista features.

Vista is not a new generation of windows because it is based on the same Windows NT kernel like XP. Neither is it innovative. It has not impressed most of us here & elsewhere. Our opinion does not matter because it's here to stay & it's here to kill all future sales of XP once the year 2008 rolls in.
BTW for an OS to be "new generation." all hardware must be new and never seen before and the OS must be capable of doing something never done before.

imujval,
So, how many of those dozen plus "Windows Vista Features" can you natively replicate in XP?
Exactly! ..... LOL

Vista offers alot of bells and whistles that hardly ding and never whistle... 3d desktop (home pro and greater) is a resource hog. (many of the premimum features that come with other then basic vista clog resources) so to get the best performance you must use window classic mode. with that said there is one thing that you will find expressly cool if you dont mind getting nagged...
IT CONFIRMS NEARLY ALL ACTIONS
this makes it much harder for tool bars to get installed which have viruses and spy ware... ect...
Omni
MCP, MCDST, Network+

But UAC is the best thing since sliced bread!!! LOL, as one former poster that is no longer here tried to convince people into thinking that crap.
I can't stand UAC, it's way too over excessive. I mean, it's pretty bad when it even prompts you to approve or deny Micrsofts own software. You would think Microsoft would have at least programed UAC to regonize it's own products. The concept was a good idea, but with its over excessive prompts and it's conflict issues with certain software. it's more of a pain then it is anything else.
Another thing I don't like about Vista, is certain things run much slower on Vista then in XP. I mean, when you got 4 grand systems running much slower in some benchmarks on Vista vs running the same benchmarks on XP which the results are much better, then it's obv a resource flaw in Vista that Microsoft is still yet to correct in which in some cases they still haven't corrected since Vista Beta 1.
Compatiblity issues is my main issue. No excuse for this many hard ware and software issues. Especially the hardware and software that are only a couple years old that are having problems running Vista.
And you wonder why Dell offers XP on their new pc's as a choice.

Vista is a evolution not a revolution. I have a love/hate relationship with my new nanny(UAC). As annoying as she is and despite having option to turn her off I’m keeping her for now. She does force you to stop and think before acting and face it multitasking on a screen for hours does hypnotize. I like typing in Word and having Word come up. The problem will be weaning myself off icons. The rest of that is on the outside to the user is prettying stuff up nice but not essential. So call Vista XP SP3 or XP pretty edition
