Windows Vista stuck on Boot Seletion Screen

Specs: Windows Vista, Pentium T3400/2G
When I boot windows Vista (Lenova G530 4446 23U Laptop), it automatically loads to boot selection screen (WIthout pressing F8) Grrrrrr. I try and enter safe mode, there is a quick flash of a blue screen, then it reboots - to of course, the boot selection screen. I tried using a console module recovery disk, and the files load, but then it goes to a blue screen. I have read elsewhere where it may be a problem with the wireless network driver but I can't get into the system to fix or reinstall. Blue screen advises disabling bios caching or shadowing, but caching and shadowing is not listed in the bios menu. Is this a MBR problem? Can it be repaired with an XP disk? I do have that, but if I load XP OS it may not authenticate, I believe I loaded it 3 times already. What a mess - Thanks

usual indication the drive died.

confirm the bios sees the drive
try booting a boot cd [knoppix/bartpe] and see if you can access the drive.

Dead HD? Interesting - Thank you for your reply - I will try running UBCD or a Bootable CD with an NTFS Reader - Actually - I get the screen and the Little green bar "Loading Windows" but then it just loads the boot seletion screen - no matter what I choose, it reboots, and repeats the process back. Dead HD?
