Windows Vista no sound

December 4, 2009 at 15:09:47
Specs: vista
l have no sound on my pc. These are some of the things l have already tried. Used 3 diff't speakers. Speakers not muted. Sound card installed and 'working properly' (no yellow exclamation mark beside it). Have tried a diff't speaker cable. Audio in BOIS is enabled.
My mother borad is mcp73vt-pm and is an onboard sound card. the audio drive is realket rtl8101 family pci.
Please any more ideas. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the links. l just tried using a headset now, but still no sound and the mic wldnt work either. Have also noticed, l used to have a realtek window opening each time l slot a speaker or mic pin into the pc and it asks what l want that pin to do...something like that, which i think also has a testing function. this went with the sound.
