After a recent Windows update I lost access to my wireless modem (Linksys). Linksys was unable to fix the problem because the "Windows update corrupted the system". I have tried restoring the system to a date prior to the update but I get an error "Windows has detected file system corruption on OS. YOu must check the disk for errors before restoring". Running a defrag (which didn't seem to do anything) and disk cleanup haven't helped. I'm also unable to open the control panel. Although, I am able to get on the internet if I am hardwired. Any suggestions on how I can restore the system?
