One day I couldn't open email attachments in Windows Mail or the program did not find them. A while before, I installed IE8 beta. The problem went away on reinstalling IE7. Now that IE8 is final, does anybody know if such a problem persists?

I am sure the problem sure exists. After upgradeing from IE 8 beta to IE 8, I struggled with the problem with jpg attachments not being found on two different computers. Recently I uninstalled IE 8 (which took me back to IE 7) and the problem went away. Has been several weeks now without a problem so I am sure it fixed it. Problem seems to be with IE 8. I have no idea if Microsoft is aware of it or has plans to fix it.

Not that I am aware of but why are you using Windows Mail? Do you know that it has been succeeded by Windows Live Mail in 2007? As for whether IE8 RTM version will work with Windows Live Mail, you have to try it and see what happen. Don't forgot to create a Restore Point before you do.

Thank's for your responses. I'm still with IE7 but I have also Windows Live Mail, but kinda forgot about it. I'm going to give it some more try.
