windows explorer not responding

When I start up my computer I recieve an error message that says "Windows
Explorer is not responding" then a second message that it is looking for a
solution then its restarts windows explorer and it repeats its self over and
over. Pls. help!!!!

Can you do a startup repair by booting off to the Vista DVD disk ?
