windows explorer has stopped workin

Every time i try and startup, i keep repeatedly get the messages- windows explorer has stopped working, windows explorer is restarting.....this will keep happening and refreshing my desktop. some people have said run it in safe mode, i tried, the desktop will not stop refreshing and blinking. no time to even click on a folder.. please help me!!!!!!

Looks like you may have to reinstall Vista. Did you get install CDs or DVDs?

I actually have had a few acers and toshibas have this problem. commonly in new toshibas a135s46XX and up or the 205 series. it usually happens when some updates dont install properly or if you are on the 64 bit version of vista
