i have windows 'defender' on my comp. it is not listed in control panel under program and features, so i can get rid of it. how do i uninstall 'defender' from my comp. where do i find it to get rid of it????
If you have disabled Windows Defender that is about the best you can do. Defender is built into Vista and is very tricky to actually remove. Apparently if defender is removed your system will kick up constant messages telling you that defender is removed. I would just leave it disabled.
There is actually no way you can uninstall it, as terii told you in the post above. M$ has made Windows Defender a core component of Vista. If you wish you can use this LINK to properly disable it then tame Windows' barkings.
