I have a pretty good computer thats is very capable of upgrading to vista but with all its problems i was wondering if just customizing my desktop, windows and icons to look like vista using a windows blinds program or a download from a site like crystalxp.net would be a bad idea. Does anyone think that it would damage my computer?

I don't consider Vista an upgrade and I don't see any value in making it look like it.

You can change your theme, to whatever you like without any problems and there are several that will make XP look like Vista. You probably won't even need a patch for those, but you may for others that are made for Vista. This site has a large selection of free themes and instructions on how to use them http://wvistathemes.com
