I knew that Windows 7 is still in beta stage, but may i know if it is usable/stable as a normal operating system compared to Windows Vista? Should i continue to use vista or just install beta? I am afarid of Driver Compatitablity issues and errors that may appear in WIndows 7.

Considering that the BETA will only function till August 2009, I would surmise from that it is not ready for prime time....

Windows 7 will expire on Augest 1, 2009 because Microsoft doesn't want you use the Free Beta forever and they also will have Beta 2 out shortly beofre then for testing and would want feed back on the new beta as to the old one by then, make since? I'm using the beta on my laptop... My Athros 5007 wifi card was install automatically and windows updates did the rest. I use internet @ home on my cell phone, so I had to install that. Alltel's program would not find the phone, but If i went into device manager and select the Undetected device and Told Windows to look on the cd it installed then Alltel's program found the cell phone "Modem"... so some drivers you will have to force.

I curretly have 2 base system devices not installed, and its working fine. Modem, SOund, Lan, Video, USB, Bluetooth, Firewire (1394)... all working fine, so I'm not worried about it.

However, the boot up is like vista, slow. But the system seams to run fast like XP. Windows Mail, movie maker, Picture thing-a-ma-jig, and one other program is not installed by default as its part of the free "Live" suite that you can download if you like.

Overall, I like it so far... This laptop had vista on it witch sucked, so I put my XP Pro on it... but now I'm with windows 7 till they mess it up... lol.
