window vista backup CD not working

I have window vista and i made a backup cd. I finally got to my BIOS and I tired to do a complete PC back up from cd but it won't work. My computer dose not register the CD having backup files on it but it does. How do i fix it ?

try to be more specific. what computer model is it? have you tried setting it to boot from the cd?

It's an acer aspire. model Q6600 intel core 2 quad, and Yes i tired to boot the cd frist it didn't do anything.

Did you just copy the files on the recovery partition of your PC on to a DVD blank disk or did you use a recovery disk creating program that should have probably come on your PC ?
