I have an HP laptop. On power it goes immediately to recovery manager. It then goes through reformatting and renstalling. after a certain percentage I get a blue screen with an error "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

... enter your bios by tapping [Esc] key @ boot-up

... find and load "Fail-Safe defaults" and "save" on exit

... reboot again enter the bios and disable the onboard modem, sound, and LAN (where applicable)

... have you changed ram chip recently? ... could be fried ram!
