Comment: When I put vista to sleep, fans and everything turn off momentarily and then wake back up again. I have tried: turning off all power management options for the mouse, keyboard and network adaptor in device manager. Uninstalling my antivirus. Turning off all scheduled updates and such. Turned off wake from LAN in BIOS. Nothiing Works. Even wakes back up from Login screen.

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem..I have done all of the same things with no success. I have contact HP tech support and their only new suggestion was to restore my PC , which I don't want to do. Have had any further luck in finding a solution?

Reply: (edit)For those of you running Steam (Valve PC games) who are unable to keep there PC's in sleep mode just exit Steam via the taskbar and then your PC will stay asleep. I have the latest version of Steam installed dated 4/13/07 and I hope Valve remedies this soon...
