Why won't windows load?

September 25, 2009 at 11:15:53
Specs: Windows Vista

I had just removed an older version of Java and restarted my computer to finish the uninstall. When it restarted windows wouldn't load. All that appears is a black screen with a blinking curser in the top left corner. The only thing that attempts to load is my Realtek ethernet driver, and it won't load because of NETLDR is missing?

Is there a way to run windows from a disk to access my files? All I need is to access my files.

Something doesn't make sense because Windows Vista & Windows 7 do not utilize NTLDR. Are you running Windows XP or are you multibooting?

No I only have Vista Hope Premium installed. When the Realtek driver attempts to load it will repeatedly attempt even after failing each time saying NTLDR is missing. Then it will reattempt and repeat this action until powered off.
