Hey people, I have been having problems with my internet connection. I have no clue what the problem is. I have a motorola modem and whenever i play game on the PS3/Xbox online or just browsing the web the internet disconnects. I will have it on for about 20- 30 minutes and it will just go out. Then i unplug the modem and wait for about 10 minutes and plug it back in and the same thing happens. The modem has lights that says Power/ ethernet/ DSL/ internet/ activity. And when it goes out the DSL/ Internet/ activity lights all go out. It tries to reconnect itself but it dosent. I was also told that a router would help this problem but i went and got one and it still does the same thing.

If you have any advice please feel free to answer my question.

You have noise on your Phone line. Have you hooked up all of the filters that came with your modem to the phones in the house? (NOT THE MODEM of course) How old is your house? You may want to try moving your modem to one of the newest phone jacks you have in the house because the jack it is on may be bad.

You may want to call your DSL tech support. They can remote into your modem and see if there are any Uncanceled Echos and have you go around the house and disconnect each phone until they determine which jack is causing the noise on the line.
