Hi,
Recently I finally got my latest computer specs above. It also has a 256mb Nvidia Geforce 8400GS GPU and 160GB HDD as well as A 16x DVD RW
However I still havent decided whether t get Vista or XP. My software will work on Vista I checked but I am not sure if I will like it. I am going to use this PC at home but I am Debating between XP Pro And Vista Home Premium. Which one do you thing I should choose if I want a responsiveness and stability. I just don't want to get vista if im not sure on it if you even just have experience with the two any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Home Premium and I could say performance-wise that XP is better. However, Vista offers something new worth experiencing. You should go for Vista, it's Service Pack 1 is coming soon.

I would suggest this question. What do you want to do with it?

Vista will run just fine on those spec's and XP will just fly. If you don't need to I'd say stick with XP for now. Or even Dual boot the system with XP and Vista. Best of both worlds. But remember Vista needs to be installed after XP to eliminate any headaches with config files if your not an advanced user.

XP. Vista has too many holes and the least you could get is Vista Ultimate instead of a crappy home operating system which has stripped down features from XP Pro.
