Since a while my system is getting slower and when I try to connect to my MSN Messenger Account it simplys stops working, I can't close any window, I try to open task manager but either nothing happens or a black screen appears. I thought it could be malware or spyware or firefox but I checked everything and nailed it down to specifically when I try to logon to my Windows Live Messenger account. Please help !!

See event logs to start. "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

ok thanks but if u could guide me through how to use event log...because i've never used it before..i looked throught it but don't know what exactly to look for...I tried to log on to msn at 17:30 and then it crashed and looked for anything at exactly 17:30 but couldn't find anything..........it seems that it's particulary with my account because i could log on with a friends account to msn perfectly

ok thanks to the help from the windows live guys I could fix my problem.... in case anyone has this problem in the future... all I had to do was to delete this folder C:\Users\<Windows Logon name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts then i logon and it was all ok thanks anyway, bye!
