Just a quick question.
This is weird...on my desktop I am able to customize my screensaver to do slideshows, carousels, add music, etc. I have the option to do what is called "My Pictures Premium."
BUT...on my brand new laptop (also running Vista Home Prem), there is no option to do a custom screensaver. Only option (other than the usual windows ones) is to do "My Photos." Not being able to add music or anything else.
Does anyone know why this is so?? I have gone in circles trying to figure out why.
On my desktop when I installed Vista, it was an upgrade, right over my XP Media Center edition...does that have anythng to do with it, seeing how my laptop came with Vista Home Prem already on it?? Maybe the upgrade only offers this feature??Thanks to anyone that replies to this silly question.

You betcha!
I have Vista Ultimate & don't think I've ever come across that screensaver option - I believe it is something that was only native to XP MCE 2005.

Edit: You could copy the screensaver "name.scr" from the older system's System32 folder & port it over to your new system's System32 folder to activate the screensaver on the new machine.

Sabertooth,
Thanks for the advice...I did it by copying the file onto my flash drive from Sys32 installed it into my laptop, took the music off my flash drive and it all worked great!
Again, thanks for the advice...Viv
