So my problem is, i've had a desktop computer for sometime, and today i went out and bought a laptop,
and i put the webcam onto the laptop and installed the Vista drivers cause thats what the laptop has on it (vista sp1) and when i open up the webcam program its just black...its like the webcam has a cover over it yet theres no cover there..

The webcam is a Genius VideoCAM Messenger

if that helps sort out the problem

thanks in advance,

See if there is a contrast or light level setting in the program. Might have to look also at control panel for any other webcam settings.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
