The weather sidebar is not working correctly, if I use my city in fehrenheit the weather is correct but if I change it to celsius I get the correct temperature but not the correct forcast picture. Also on my Laptop the forcast picture is wrong and also the temperature is wrong.

Thanks

If you are from the U.S. don't even bother with the native weather gadget for Vista. I quit using it when this was developed. It is much better.

Sabertooth, I guess Vista got you just like it did to this person. It literally made her dump and lazy. Read her confession here...

If that's the case are you going to forget everything you know & learned the hard ways from the bygone era?

"Take Windows Vista, for instance. Its new ways of finding what you need make it a delight to use. Instead of searching through the Programs menu for the application you want to run, you can simply type its name in the Search box. Instead of hunting through the file system in Windows Explorer for a document you want, just type the file name or keywords in the same Search box...."

The above is quite true - I actually found this feature pretty nifty & have gotten so dependent on it ..... LOL

Thanks for the comments but I found a solution to my problem.

1. I disconnected from the internet and I detached the weather gadget from the sidebar.
2. I clicked on the city link. (I got no access to the internet and then the gadget seemed to be reset)
3. I reactivated the internet connection and resarted my computer.

all works fine now

And of course the old fashioned way and a bit more work is to go to the National Weather Service and/or Accuweather websites type in your zip to get your local weather forecast and make it a favorite/bookmark/desktop icon etc.
