A little while ago XPUser mentioned that Vista suffered from a bad case of Alzheimers and he was dead right. All of a sudden this fool machine of mine has forgotten all the passwords to the forums I visit (this one included!) Is there a reason for this or is it "just one of those things?"

It's not a good idea to post two problems in one post but for some reason or another "Windows DVD Maker" refuses to work. It keeps failing with the message that the Programme needs to Close. My neighbour who has Ultimate (I have Home Premium) has exactly the same problem. Both of us can make picture DVDs but not movie (.avi or any video format) DVDs. Is there a work around?

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

So far the state of Alzheimer's condition of my Vista haven't worsened :-)

How fast were you burning? Windows DVD Maker FAQ stated to burn it using a Slower speed. In addition, if you have installed any third party burning software such as Nero, unload it and try again.

Vista has little to do with remembering your site passwords. This is your browser that does this

I've burned a lot of DVD's using Vista's Movie Maker using DVD-RW x4 without a problem.
Not sure if it uses Vista's burning program or my Ashampoo, as it's done in the background.

Hmmm... I have Nero loaded but before I unload it I'll try burning at a lower speed although nine times out of ten the programme does not even let me progress to the point where I can select a speed... it just throws its hands in the air and lies down.

More experiments and I'll come back!
