I recently tried to install a program to convert AVI to MP4 and when i opened the exe.....it installed about 6 of the worst viruses i have ever dealt with on my computer. I scanned with 3 different programs, removed all viruses, uninstalled every single program i didn't recognize, and deleted every folder that was created on that day in the program files folder.
So, after trying yet another program to remove the malicious software, i rebooted vista and now it won't boot to the login screen. I have to boot into safe mode every time. I tried running the vista cd to repair the boot process, but that didn't work. It tells me that i don't have any backups to restore to, so i can't do that....Can anyone tell me what i could possibly do to get back into vista normally to back up all of my files??? I am at a complete loss here.
