Vista wont awake from sleep mode

The issue i have is that, if my computer goes into SLEEP MODE or is TURNED OFF in some cases, it wont return to windows, the Display wont come back on. it does this even off a CLEAN REFORMAT. i thought it was a video driver so i updated it, no changes.

How do you know for sure it isn't your video card? have you tried another video card and see if it does the same thing?

well the fan spins on it, and its properly seated, since windows doesnt randomly crash, just in the SLEEP mode. i never assumed. i guess i should swap it. i just dont have another to test it on
