In what order did you install the OS's?
Were these drives in the existing system when installed?
Are they partitioned into multiple partitions?

Thank you for your input.

The OS(Win7 & Vista) are on two seperate HDDs. The strange thing is that they BOTH hang just before the 'password' screen on a 'NORMAL' boot??!!

This may be just a coincidence, however, to rule out options other than a hardware problem i need to run a spyware sweep but I can't install it from safe mode! I have even tried disconnecting the HDD's so ony one boots, this doesn't work either??!!

The area I have moved the PC to is cold at times, near the outside door but near the radiator(off the floor though)....Could this have anything to do with it??

This is sending me nuts!! AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
