Hi,

I'm working for an Intel certified IT company and my boss just gave me a copy of the full SP1 for Vista. I've just installed it. It's 1.1GB. I haven't explored it yet but here is a link to the screen shot I got http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y2...

Yup I know I didnt post any feedback. Sorry cuz I dont have time to really tinker with it yet. But I dont know if its psychological or what but I think the computer is a bit faster now. I'm not that computer savvy so I havnt tried any benchmarks or anything. And Im not really that familiar with the issues with Vista. I have just installed the game I had that is not compatible with Vista and its still not working :(. Can anyone please tell me some common issues with Vista so I can check if it has been resolved? Thanks!

Giving us the name of the game will help us better understand what might be going on. Until that time, we can only speculate that the game is probably not compatible with Vista.

The game is SCAR (Squadra Course Alfa Romeo). I read the improvements that come with SP1 and I'll try the file copy thing cuz I use to copy files from an external HD plugged to a USB to my Vista laptop and it takes ages. I'll try again later if there will be a big difference. And now that I read that there should be an improvement in power consumption, now I can confirm why my battery lasted longer last night.

Good news! It took me just 5min to copy files around 600+MB in size from an external HD to my laptop. Before SP1 it took hours. Remote desktop works perfect with SP1 as well. It used to be very very slow. As for my game I got it to run but it has nothing to do with SP1. I used the feature of Vista to emulate another Windows OS to run programs that are not compatible with it.

What program did you use to run progrmas that aren't compatible? I tried using the compatibility mode and it didn't work. Anyone knows where I can dl 64-bit SP1 from Direct Download Site?

Hi,

I just used compatibility mode. It also worked with C&C Generals game. Don't know if there is a 64bit SP1 available for download. I got mine from my employer.
