Comment: When i shutdown machine, it does not gracefully shutdown. It shows a blue blank screen and switches off. The machine automatically restarts after that and prompts saying that the machine was unexpectedly shutdown.

Reply: (edit)Try booting up in afe mode and then shut down and see if it shut downs properly, if it does then you have a driver problem that is causing it to shut down improperly.

Reply: (edit)I suspect there's a background application that Windows is unable to properly terminate in order to complete the shutdown routine. If you disable your (MSCONFIG) startup list -- does it shutdown properly? That could clue you in.
