vista sevice pack update finishes then crashes how to fix.

August 3, 2014 at 02:36:22
Specs: Windows Vista, core 2 quad
every time I reinstall the service packs I get blue screen of death. if I don't remove the os it kills my hd. last time it took out my vid card too. I can put Linux on it and no issues but cant play my games on it. I reinstall windows and does fine till the packs finish then blue screen. this happened with all my other computers too when Microsoft decided to hijack me for more cash. don't want to buy an os I already paid too much for this one. any way to save the os security updates ? why will microtheft let me use it without them but not with? I know they write the viruses. are they identity thieves and hackers too? this happened with all my old computers too as microtheft stopped supporting.

"I reinstall windows and does fine till the packs finish then blue screen"
Assuming you have all your important stuff backed up.
Make sure when you reinstall, you delete ALL partitions & format to NTFS.

Vista - Drive options (advanced)

Here are some examples of why you delete all partitions.

Service packs (software) cannot possibly kill off hard disks or video cards. If they failed it was pure coincidence.

MS do not write viruses. If they did the whole world would know about it by now - I've used MS Windows since 3.1 and so have thousands of others. My W98 is still working fine.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Did vista come preinstalled on your system? I'm just wondering if your hardware is OK for vista.

Viruses shouldn't be a problem on a fresh install. What else are you installing besides the OS?

Don't forget to preorder your Hatch green chili for this fall. Many vendors ship world-wide.

"any way to save the os security updates"
Yes, they can be collected from here using the KB numbers:
http://test.catalog.update.microsof...

On XP I collected them as I went along and put them on a DVD.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
