I also wonder what the big System builders think? I would be very wary with the initial Vista RTM (November 8). For M$ to find, isolate & fix the bugs in a wholly new OS in just 15 days is quite unbelievable after 6 years of development.

That's the point I was trying to make in the other thread! I'll wait to install it on any of my "working" systems until everyone else discovers and corrects the inevitable bugs :)

What did you expect them to say? Maybe "The Vista team was not surprised by this bug because they knew it was there all along but were too lazy to fix it"?
I would assume any bug of this magnitude would take the Vista team by surprise at this point, since if they already knew about it, they would have fixed it. The bug's existence may reflect on whether or not they know what they're doing, but the fact that it surprised them doesn't...
