Hello!

I’m new here and yes I have a problem, surprise!
English isn’t my main language so I apologize for any misprints.

To the problem at hand.

I installed Microsoft Vista Business edition yesterday and it was a clean installation.
The computer I installed it on is in our company domain.

After installation I added my user and the domain of the company, all is fine up to this point.
Our server is a windows 2000 sp4 with exchange 2000.
Anyways I restarted the computer and here lies my problem. Every time I restart my computer
The setting resets to default settings for a new user. I do not have this problem on my account on the local machine just for the account in our company domain. It even deletes all the files and documents in”my documents”. Does anyone have the same problem as I do? And is it a fix for this?

I also have another problem but don’t know if it is outlook2007 related or VISTA related.
I added my mail account ”exchange account” it downloaded all the folders and email from the server, except all emails from 2007, but this is only related to the inbox, mail received from 2007, which I have deleted can still be found in deleted folder.
I’m most thankful for any information regarding my problems.

You're being logged in with a temporary user profile for some reason, which Vista discards after you log out. Start looking through your Event Viewer log files to see why your user profile isn't working. Does this happen for local AND domain accounts?

On your email problem, I don't quite understand your quesiton, but it sounds like you mean that after you delete e-mail, you can still see it in the deleted folder? If so, taht's the way it's supposed to work. There's a setting within Outlook that you can tell Outlook to deleted the deleted items upon close.

If neither one of those ideas helps, you might try starting a new post and see if you can limit it to one question - and try to see if you can provide any more info related to your problems...
