Hi,
can anyone help me out that how to make recovery cd of windows vista.
i received a Acer Aspire laptop from my head office withwindows vista operating system and they are saying please make a recovery cd of windows vista before you install windows XP SP2.

what?? on the harddrive, should be another partition that stores the recovery files. burn that partition. open my compter, the partition should show up as drive d

When I first recieved my Acer laptop I too was confused. It seems you first have to make a D: partion then you can make recovery DVD's or cd's.

Try pursue the Head Office to hold off the order until you upgrade to Vista SP1 in early 2008. Tentatively speaking, Vista SP1 will include a handy tool for creating recovery DVD or CDs for those who cannot find the recovery options provided by Acer.
