If you notice (some may not) your glass theme's gone AWOL after installing 5744, you need to implement the steps below - worked for me.
0. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER.1. Navigate through → HKCU → Software → Microsoft → Windows → DWM.
2. In the right pane, verify the Composition value, is set to 1 (32-bit DWORD).
3. Go down to the CompositionPolicy value and make sure that one, is set to 2 (32-bit DWORD).
4. Now reset DWM from the command prompt (Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER).
- Type net stop uxsms and press ENTER
- Then net start uxsms and press ENTER5. Exit the command prompt console.
That should reinstate the Aero "glass" theme.
