Greetings. I have this emachine which I have 2 hd's. 1 w/xp hOME 2nd Vista 5600. I use Boot Magic to startup. I have had the Vista only 2-3 weeks.I spend most time on xp. Anyway, When I Boot to Vista, several error windows popup right before the desktop appears. 1 of which "rundll32. exe-Entry Point Not found".Once I do get to attempt to say,..go to My Computer, or Music, or Pictures, they all pop up with "Class not Registered" -AND WILL NOT OPEN. I did go through the Task Manager, then to Services, AND set all to start Automatic. Rebooted, No Help!I just keep thinking that the "Last" Time that I ran Vista, that maybe I turned off a Service or something. any ideas? -ez

Why are you using boot magic? If you don't have anything important on the 2nd HDD & you have RC1 on DVD, format the drive & install Vista by booting into XP, then popping in the RC1 DVD...choose 'advanced' & make sure it installs on the 2nd HDD. The dual boot will be automatic. You may have a botched installation or BootMagic may be causing the problem. Reinstalling *may* fix it. I won't mention that RC1 is beta :-P

Yes - poor planning

It's really simple to install vista especially on 2 hard drives. Just go into xp's manger then go to disc drives and reformat the hard drive that has vista on it and then reinstall Vista RC1.
