Reply: (edit)Thanks for the reply, but for some reason, reinstalling from teh Vista Ultimate Disc does not work... I think I'm going to have to attempt to format the hard drive and do a clean install...I never had this problem with XP, but I have found numerous posts about it. Unfortunately, Vista is set up differently (many dead-end forums). Thanks again

Reply: (edit)You need to do a repair installation that replaces all of windows. If that dosnt work format your drive and if it still dont work go back to XP and check your computer specs. Some rapator drives are not fully compatiable with Windows Vista. I helped write some of vista 'Hold the death threats' i hate it too. My advice is stay with XP and when the next OS comes out go to Vista. Need help with computers. Stay away from Microsoft.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the reply. I actually built this computer and Vistais the only operating system that has been on it. Aside from the beginning driver problems due to Vista incompatibilities with the enclosed motherboard software, I have had no major problems with Vista. It was running fine until (I think) a system file (NTFS.SYS)went all corrupt on me. I hope the format and reinstallation work... Thanks again...
