I have a HP Laser Jet 2600 installed on our network. I have no trouble printing from XP Pro but when I boot into Vista, I am only able to print RIGHT after installing the printers drivers. Once I reboot, I am no longer able to print. After sending the que to the printer, the printers status light blinks, as if it's going to print, but nothing happens, and the print job stays in the spooler.
Since HP doesn't have Vista drivers available, I am using Windows XP drivers.

Your drivers probably aren't working correctly. Try just using something close to your printer model from the built-in Vista printer drivers. Otherwise, if you still want to use the HP driver, make sure you aren't installing it - simply create a generic printer and then change the drivers (printer's Properties | Advanced tab).
If that doesn't work, wait till HP comes out with Vista drivers....
