Vista move and replace files issue
Name: smokinxp Date: May 12, 2007 at 19:00:29 Pacific OS: Vista Ultimate 32bit CPU/Ram: Duo Core E6600 Product: BFG 680i Nf4 SLI
Comment:
When move and replacing files or Cut & Paste in vista,it always copies the files to the destination, the majority of the time most of the source files are still where they were and have to be manually deleted.
Anyone else experiencing this?, I also get the The slow loading and slow process time when clicking on files, but that's to be expected, It is Windows after all.
As for using up heaps of memory, mine doesn't do that. On avg my CPU utilisation is about 15% and memory useage 800mb

if you have 1 GB RAM and 80% is in use by the OS, well, than that IS 'heaps of memory' being used, isn't it? :-)
Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

I have 2gb not 1gb and at the moment with 3 windows open and typing this it's using up 25%. XP does the same thing so that's not an issue.
There was other posts about the excessive use of resources. I was just saying it's not that bad. If someone is trying to run XP with 1GB they are fools let aknown trying to use an operating system that's even more multimedia based.
2GB is minimum these days.
But that's not the issue i was asking about
