Hello,

I have a few PC's set up with Act 9.0 and Quickbooks 2007. PC1 connects to the server via simple file sharing to access the database. I have mapped drives directly to the shared DB's and in each program I set that drive as the default location for DB's.

The problem I am having is on both Act and QB if I reboot the machine and then start the program it does not automatically open the last used DB so I have to manually browse to it and open it from within the application. As long as I don't reboot it is fine but as soon as I reboot it loses the path, it does not break everything but it is a pain to be forced to browse to the DB again.

I also noticed it does this on the server that is hosting the DB's, I have to browse to the DB's on the C: to open them again after rebooting.

Does anyone know why or how to prevent Vista from losing the link like that?

I have a XP machine also and it is working fine and does not lose the connection. Thanks.
