Running windows vista home premium on a toshiba sattelite L40 laptop.I have a problem logging into windows vista. I get the screen up which allows me to select my account and enter a password. I then get a welcome message in the centre of the screen with the revolving circle. Trouble is it goes no further. I have left it like this for a few hours and still didnt login. I can login via safe mode with no problem. I have removed the account password but still problems. I have even created a second administrator account with no password, but this has the exact same problem. My laptop is only a few months old but I dont want to reinstall windows if i can help it. Any advice will be gratefully received

Ok. I uninstalled the drivers in safe mode, rebooted, and logged in. The welcome message appeared for 20 seconds then the screen went black with only a white cursor showing. I rebooted to safe mode, and Vista automatically installed standard vga drivers. Rebooted laptop normally, logged in, got welcome screen and screen went blank with white cursor again. Same for both accounts.
