Reply: (edit)If you have a trial or time-limited installation, then you are indeed licensed to use the OS & the status of your installation should naturally corroborate that, at least, until your grace-period -- however long that is -- ends.

Reply: (edit)I think it is the other way around .... LOL! You need to provide a more detailed information. - How did you obtain the OS? - Did it come pre-installed? - Did you buy it retail? - Do you have a legal PID for the OS? The last unasked detail relates to the activation status displayed in your System Properties, although, this is probably moot depending on the answer to the four questions above.

Reply: (edit)FYI. You or your friend might be engaging in casual piracy. You need to obtain/purchase your own valid license/key in order to run the OS legally. You can't use someone else's Product Key for your installation.

Reply: (edit)you can not use other people license. every license key is unique. if you go to: control panel - systme maintenance - system you should see if your vista is licensed. the magic word is: Vista is activated if you dont have it you better buy it! WebMaster of www.webtlk.com
