Comment: i have windows vista business version in my desktop. i log on to the linux server from my windows desktop to post data on to oracle database application on the server. each time when i save data, i get i/o error message and reports that the server is busy and data cannot be saved. but after a little while it is saved. why this delay or hang up before saving each entry of data Thanks

Reply: (edit)Too hard to tell. I suspect oracle settings. Could be how the connections are setup at the linux machine. Might repost this on database forums. Repost with a bit more detail. How you connect. What versions of linux, oracle. How do you update oracle. Does it do it locally? I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
