Comment: I've had trouble with my games explorer since I first started using Vista (the glorified games folder with an icon that looks like a trophy). At first it only sporadically added Vista approved games, which should have all been added without problem. Trying to drag icons or shortcuts of older games resulted in an error ding sound, as if the folder was somehow locked. Now the games explorer won't open at all. Clicking on the icon opens the outline of a window for a second and then promptly disappears. Does anyone know of a way that I can fix it, such as completely resetting the folder? Thanks for any help ^^

Reply: (edit)Delete and Reset Windows Vista Folder Views or Folder Types Settings to Default Clean State. Link http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/... That may be able to fix your problem, by doing this it resets all the windows folder views and settings to its default settings as they were when vista was first installed. I find this handy especially when windows folder views and settings gets whacky from time to. This has fixed my problems and I only had to do it once and my folders have never acted up since.
