Vista for copying DVDs and CDs

Plextor / Px- 870a

Specs: Windows Vista, 2.834 GHz / 3326 MB
I recently installed Vista Ultimate...can't wait for Win7. My Sony DVD writer disintegerated my original XP Pro disc, so I finally had to install Vista. I purchased a new Plextor PX-870 and it came with Creator10. Would you install it to create images of discs or do you count on Vista's built in software to be reliable? TIA

Reports I've seen indicate that it works fine, but I'm using my Ashampoo 8 for burning which I'm used to.

My answer is it depends , is it a full version or a crippled try on , Many new drives come with " free " software , the trouble is , when it comes to removing them you tend to get the ERROR 39 message . It's not difficult to fix ( just post here ) .

There are many good freeware burner programs today .
I use CdBurnerxp ( It's a complete misnomer ), many will tell you Imgburn is best and so it goes on , in the mean time Vista's burner is OK it works .
