vista failed to boot up

hi,
My vista failed to boot up (safe mode failed to boot as well) after i done the following steps :

1. takeown /f C:\Windows\*.*
2. cacls c:\Windows\*.* /G geek:F

any magic touch for this ?

Courtesy of another forum you used - thought I'd post it as a courtesy to other users of this forum.

1. Copy the "takeown" and "icacls"(c:\windows\system32) from a working vista system to a memory key (thumb drive).
2. Start vista in a recovery mode and open the command prompt.
3. Insert the thumb drive and execute the following command from it:
takeown /f C:\Windows\*.* /A
icacls C:\Windows\*.* /grant system:F
